Job summary

Oshkosh Delivery is seeking a student intern to support Strategic Purchasing, Global Sourcing, and Operational duties within Defense Aftermarket. You will review supplier price lists, request quotes, and extract data from J.D. Edwards and SAS to streamline procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations Management, Economics, Logistics, packaging science, or related field.
• Graduation date of May 2028 or later.
• Completed at least Sophomore year coursework (or equivalent)
• GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Must be willing to work full-time hours during summers and breaks, and part-time hours (around 20 hours per week) during the school year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the areas of Strategic Purchasing, Global Sourcing, and Operational duties within Defense Aftermarket.
• Review, transform, and upload supplier price lists.
• Send request for quotes and gather/compile necessary information to request quotes from suppliers.
• Extract data from J.D. Edwards and SAS and other divisions.
• Download drawings.
• Communicate with vendors to solve problems through collaboration and negotiation.
• Consult with sales, accounting/finance, and engineers to ensure correct transfer of information.
• Maintain vendor accounts and gain own vendor accounts after becoming comfortable with J.D. Edwards systems.
• Provide support to Buyers and Purchasing Agents in the procurement of goods and services from suppliers.
