Job summary

Corning is seeking a summer intern to support supply chain improvement processes in the Harrodsburg area. The role spans planning, inventory control and distribution of Mobile Consumer products, with opportunities to lead or support process improvements and project management.

You will work in a cross-functional setting across planning, scheduling, distribution and process excellence, applying data-driven approaches and DMAIC methodologies to optimize metrics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in supply chain, MIS, finance or related field.
• Rising junior or higher to participate in internship.
• Ability to analyze data and use MS Office tools.
• Basic statistics knowledge and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze capacity, inventory on hand or order promise metrics and propose solutions.
• Apply current supply chain concepts and tools to improve understanding.
• Collaborate across supply chain, quality, commercial and manufacturing teams.
• Use DMAIC and other rigorous tools to deliver results.
• Work on planning, inventory control, warehousing and transportation projects in North America.
