Job summary

Kent Worldwide is offering a Supply Chain Intern role designed to provide hands-on learning across key areas of the supply chain, including planning, data analysis, and ERP systems. This internship emphasizes real projects that support business needs and professional development while you complete your degree.

You will work on processes that strengthen planning, improve efficiency, and gain exposure to procurement, transportation, and inventory management, all while adhering to safety policies

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, business, or engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset and data-driven problem solving.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Access.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support supply and demand planning projects, define KPIs and procedures.
• Create and update AX system work instructions; assist training.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to maintain planning applications; generate reports.
• Analyze ERP data to develop reports and recommendations for performance improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Assist S&OP activities including data gathering and demand analysis.
• Support procurement, transportation, ERP systems, and inventory management projects.
• Demonstrate commitment to workplace safety and policies.

• This opportunity is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, IA.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support projects that strengthen supply and demand planning processes, including best practices, KPIs, procedures, and work instructions.
• Create and update AX system work instructions, assist with training efforts, and help improve the flow of materials and information across the supply chain.
• Partner with the Supply Chain team to maintain planning applications through data validation, system updates, report generation, and business analysis.
• Analyze ERP data, including materials, inventory, forecasts, work orders, and production information, to develop reports and recommendations that enhance supply chain performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and optimizing planning and material utilization processes.
• Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities, including data gathering, demand analysis, fulfillment measurement, and cross-functional integration efforts.
• Gain exposure to key areas of the KENT supply chain by supporting projects related to procurement, transportation, contract administration, ERP systems, and inventory management.
• Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety by following, communicating, and supporting safety policies and practices across all work environments.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working towards a degree in Supply Chain Management, related Business or Engineering Degree
• A data-driven approach to problem solving
• Word, Excel and Access skills
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Strong analytical skills
• Must be able to analyze data and draw conclusions for follow-up reporting
