Job summary

Acron Aviation is seeking a motivated Supply Chain Intern to join our Strategic Supply Chain team in Grand Rapids, MI. This internship offers hands-on experience across the full supply chain, including planning, procurement, sourcing, inventory, and supplier management in the Avionics Business Unit.

You will collaborate with Buyers, Planners, and Sourcing Managers on active projects, gaining exposure to tactical and strategic procurement activities while supporting mission-critical aerospace

Job description

Acron Aviation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to join our Strategic Supply Chain organization within the Avionics Business Unit. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full supply chain function, supporting initiatives that span materials planning, procurement, sourcing, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.

The intern will be embedded within the Strategic Supply Chain team and collaborate closely with Buyers, Planners, and Strategic Sourcing Managers on active business projects. Through exposure to both tactical and strategic procurement activities, the intern will develop a strong foundation in aerospace supply chain operations while gaining insight into how planning, sourcing, and supplier management work together to support Acron's mission of innovating to create safer skies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support materials planning and procurement activities to help ensure continuity of supply and operational performance.
• Assist with MRP execution, inventory analysis, and demand planning activities.
• Participate in sourcing initiatives, supplier evaluations, and category management projects.
• Support supplier relationship management efforts, including supplier performance tracking and reporting.
• Analyze supply chain data and develop recommendations to improve efficiency, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Finance.
• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to support supply chain decision-making.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization and operational excellence.
• Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and supplier-related activities to gain practical industry experience.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• Rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student with an expected graduation date after August 2027.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position may require access to information, technology, software, or hardware that is subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations. To comply with these requirements, applicants must qualify as a US Person.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in aerospace, manufacturing, or high-technology industries.
• Experience with data analysis, ERP systems, MRP processes, or supply chain coursework.
• Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, student organizations, internships, or extracurricular activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
