Job summary

OxyChem invites you to join our Summer Internship Program in Dallas, TX, designed to develop future leaders across Purchasing, Logistics, and Customer Supply Chain Services. You will work on projects to drive cost improvements, supplier collaboration, and process optimization while gaining exposure to critical supply chain functions.

The program runs May through August; pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in SCM or related field with Junior status and a 2.85+ GPA is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution, or related discipline.
• Junior year status required; graduation date between Dec 2027 and May 2028.
• Minimum GPA 2.85 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing: support projects to drive cost savings and supplier relations.
• Logistics: analyze freight modes and optimize rail/truck movements to reduce costs and ensure on-time delivery.
• Customer Supply Chain Services: assist with order fulfillment, inventory management, and freight; support service offerings.

Based in Dallas, Texas the OxyChem Summer Internship Program runs from May through August and is designed to develop future leaders by providing exposure to key Supply Chain functions. Interns will work on various projects within several functional areas. Examples of duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:**Purchasing:** * Support purchasing teams by assisting with assigned projects to drive process improvements, reduce costs and leverage supplier relationships.* Assist in the development, analysis, and implementation of sourcing strategies for critical goods, materials, and services.* Coordinate the preparation of formal requests for proposals in addition to related analysis and evaluation of bids.* Collaborate with key suppliers and facilitate problem resolution.* Drive assigned purchasing initiatives and process improvements. **Logistics:** * Analyze and provide recommendations on various freight modes (rail, barge, truck) to minimize delivered costs.* Develop utilization models for rail car usage.* Review daily rail or truck operations and make recommendations to resolve issues that effect on time and safe movement of Oxy’s rail fleet or truck carriers to customers, exchange partners, terminals, manufacturing and repair facilities.**Customer Supply Chain Services:** * Analyze and provide recommendations on assigned projects involving order fulfillment, inventory management, and freight.* Assist with client-facing and internal activities associated with OxyChem product requests, shipments, invoices and customer satisfaction.* Collaborate with management team on value added service offerings.* Drive assigned strategies and process improvements to support Customer Supply Chain Services.**Qualifications** * Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution, or related Business and/or Engineering discipline.* Student must be classified as a Junior.* Must have a graduation date between December 2027 – May 2028 (Junior Classification).* Must maintain minimum cumulative 2.85 GPA on a 4.0 scale.**Location:*** Dallas, Texas**Benefits*** Competitive salary* Relocation Assistance and/or fully-furnished Corporate Housing provided, if applicable* 9/80 Work Schedule.
