Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Flow Controller / Supply Chain Buyer at our Mount Juliet, TN plant II campus to balance demand and supply, manage material flow, and support production scheduling. You will work with SAP-based materials management in a manufacturing setting to ensure material availability and on-time production.

The role is part of a ramp-up initiative, enabling process establishment, growth, and scale-up from day one, reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience purchasing direct materials, components, or production-related items.
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes, inventory management, and material planning concepts.
• Experience working with suppliers to manage deliveries, resolve shortages, and improve performance.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Balance customer demand and resources (MRP) for materials, managing requirements and backlogs.
• Coordinate production scheduling activities to support operational objectives.
• Resolve back orders, shortages, and supply constraints to ensure product availability.
• Manage backlog and reschedule manufacturing and purchase orders.
• Execute daily MRP actions (SAP MD04 or similar tools).
• Support upstream and downstream supply chain flows to improve performance.
• Participate in SIM Cycle 2 and continuous improvement initiatives.
