Job summary

Stone Alliance Group is seeking a Supply Chain Finance Manager in New York City. The role partners with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial, and Accounting to turn financial data into actionable insights that improve profitability, working capital, and overall performance.

The position requires a minimum of five years in supply chain finance or FP&A, strong costing and inventory experience, and advanced Excel. Hybrid schedule for NYC-based candidates, with remote options for others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least five years of progressive experience in supply chain finance, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, FP&A, or related area.
• Hands-on experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, production variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Experience with consumer products, manufacturing, food/beverage, or related industry preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis and reporting across manufacturing, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
• Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning, and explain performance drivers.
• Deliver variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior-year results with actionable recommendations.
• Oversee standard costing and analyze labor, overhead, yield, and manufacturing variances.
• Partner with Operations and Procurement to identify cost savings and productivity improvements.
• Monitor inventory aging, obsolescence, valuation, and working capital with effective reporting tools.
• Support cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Build models evaluating product, customer, channel, category, and SKU profitability.
• Support pricing decisions, new product launches, promotions, and business cases.
• Participate in S&OP and IBP processes, assessing financial impact of demand and supply decisions.
• Prepare management reports translating complex data into insights and recommendations.
• Strengthen controls and data quality across reporting processes.

Supply Chain Finance Manager

Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Finance Manager to serve as a key business partner and influence decision-making across the end-to-end supply chain. In this highly visible role, you will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial, and Accounting leaders to translate financial and operational data into actionable insights that improve profitability, working capital, and overall business performance.

Our client's office is located in New York City. Candidates based in the New York City area are expected to work on a hybrid schedule, while candidates outside the area may work remotely.

What You Will Do

• Lead financial analysis and reporting across manufacturing, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
• Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning, and explain the drivers behind performance.
• Deliver clear variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior-year results, with practical recommendations.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive experience in supply chain finance, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, FP&A, or a related area.
• Hands-on experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, production variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, food, beverage, or a related industry is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing large data sets.
• Experience with an ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or a comparable platform.
• Power BI or other business intelligence experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and business-partnering skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Credentials

• An MBA, CPA, CMA, or another relevant advanced qualification is a plus.

Compensation

The budgeted base salary for this position is $120,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus. The final compensation package will be determined by the company based on the selected candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
