Korn Ferry is partnering with its client to fill the Finance Manager II – Supply Chain role in the Houston area. The position leads a Finance team across multiple manufacturing facilities, driving planning, close, cost analysis, and performance management for the Southern region.

The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years in finance with manufacturing exposure, strong accounting knowledge, and expertise in GAAP/SOX. Hybrid work is offered with travel to facilities across Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• 8–10+ years of progressive Finance and/or Accounting experience.
• Previous people leadership and supervisory experience required.
• Supply Chain Finance experience within a company that manufactures physical goods required.
• Strong manufacturing finance experience with understanding of plant operations and financial drivers.
• Strong foundational accounting knowledge including P&L, balance sheet, journal entries, and close processes.
• Cost accounting and manufacturing accounting experience highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX, inventory controls, and financial control environments.

Role Summary:

• Title: Finance Manager II – Supply Chain
• Reports To: Director, North America Supply Chain Finance
• Location: Northwest Houston
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days in office or at supported plant locations and 2 days working from home
• Travel: Travel to supported manufacturing facilities, primarily throughout Texas; plant visits count toward the 3-day in-person schedule
• Team Scope: Lead approximately 3–5 direct reports, including one Manager and 2–4 Senior Financial Analysts who may be remotely based at the manufacturing facilities they support
• Primary Focus: Provide financial leadership and strategic decision support across a cluster of manufacturing plants while leading the planning, forecasting, month-end close, financial controls, cost analysis, capital investment, and performance management processes for the region

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary Finance business partner for multiple manufacturing facilities across the Southern Supply Chain network
• Lead and develop a team of Finance professionals, including a Manager and Senior Financial Analysts located across supported plant locations
• Lead monthly close, forecasting, and annual planning processes across the supported manufacturing network
• Analyze financial performance and explain variances to plan, forecast, and prior-year results
• Partner with plant and operations leadership to understand key business drivers and improve financial and operational performance
• Provide decision support that helps drive cost savings, operating efficiency, financial metric improvement, and profitable growth
• Maintain strong financial controls across the manufacturing network, including compliance with SOX, U.S. GAAP, corporate policies, inventory controls, and capital expenditure requirements
• Support capital project analysis and investment decisions, including ROI, payback, and cost savings analysis
• Connect operational initiatives to financial outcomes and provide leadership with actionable insights into plant performance
• Work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other business leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve financial workflows and reporting processes
• Leverage financial systems, analytics, and data to improve decision support and operating visibility
• Provide leadership around cost accounting, inventory, manufacturing expenses, and other plant-related financial activities
• Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis for Supply Chain Finance and senior leadership
• Travel to manufacturing facilities to build strong relationships with plant teams and maintain firsthand understanding of the operations being supported

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
• 8–10+ years of progressive Finance and/or Accounting experience
• Previous people leadership and supervisory experience required
• Supply Chain Finance experience within a company that manufactures physical goods required
• Strong manufacturing finance experience with an understanding of plant operations and the financial drivers of a manufacturing environment
• Strong foundational accounting knowledge, including journal entries, debits and credits, P&L, balance sheet, and month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Cost accounting and manufacturing accounting experience highly preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX, inventory controls, and financial control environments
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and serve as an effective internal business partner to plant managers, operations leaders, and other functional leadership
• Strong leadership philosophy with a genuine interest in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence leaders across multiple locations and functions
• Proven ability to drive financial performance, influence management, and lead organizational change
• Strong history of process improvement, project management, and critical thinking
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate operational activity into meaningful financial insights
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and large data environments
• SAP, Power BI, Hyperion, and BlackLine experience preferred
• MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred
• Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or related continuous improvement knowledge is a plus
