LINK Staffing has partnered with a well-established local company to find a skilled Supply Chain Expeditor to join their team. This vital temp-to-hire role ensures the timely and accurate receipt and processing of goods and services across multiple categories, supporting seamless manufacturing and operational workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in purchasing and supply chain coordination.

• Location: Houston, TX
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time
• Pay Rate: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
• Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing & Procurement: Purchase services and components to meet specialized or complex needs.
• Order Tracking: Monitor and report on the status of purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery.
• Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with vendors to expedite purchases and resolve shipment errors.
• Inventory Coordination: Determine quantity and timing of deliveries to maintain consistent supply for operations.
• Process Management: Prepare purchase orders, follow approval procedures, and assist internal teams with requisitions.
• Logistics & Freight Oversight: Coordinate with third-party shipping and freight suppliers to expedite deliveries.
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to regulatory standards.
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support supply chain operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in purchasing or a supply chain-related field.
• Technical Skills: Experience with ERP systems preferred (D365 a plus); proficiency in MS Word and Excel required.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of material specifications (metal & non-metal) is an asset.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; English fluency preferred.
• Multitasking & Problem-Solving: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Collaboration: Ability to work professionally with internal teams and external vendors.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment as needed.
• Must adhere to required safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
