Job summary

Air Lift Company in Lansing, MI is seeking a Supply Chain Engineering Project Manager. You will drive technical and project execution for supply chain and supplier-quality projects, focusing on the existing product base, across multiple functions.

You’ll own projects, manage timing and risks, apply PDCA and 8D methods, translate drawings into supplier requirements, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Suppliers to ensure on-time, cost-effective launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, supplier engineering, supplier quality or technical project management.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans and supplier quality processes.
• Strong project management and structured problem-solving (PDCA, 8D).
• Experience with suppliers and cross-functional teams; domestic/international preferred.
• Experience with metals, rubber, injection molding, machining, or similar processes.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned supply chain technical projects from definition through implementation and closure.
• Develop and manage project timing, milestones, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
• Drive cross-functional actions and escalate risks to meet objectives.
• Use PDCA and other methods to establish recovery plans and maintain timing.
• Provide technical support for existing products, components and processes.
• Translate drawings and technical requirements into supplier-executable specs.
• Support supplier development, qualification and APQP/PPAP readiness.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Materials and Operations to resolve issues affecting cost, quality or delivery.
