Job summary

Norwood Medical is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead global planning, procurement, inventory, production scheduling, logistics, and supplier management. You will partner with Operations, Quality, Finance, and Sales to ensure material flow meets regulatory and customer needs.

You will drive S&OP processes, optimize inventory, establish supplier partnerships, and lead Lean initiatives while ensuring FDA/ISO13485 compliance across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience.
  • 5+ years leading managers and cross-functional teams; regulated manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's overall supply chain strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across planning, purchasing, and logistics.
  • Drive S&OP processes to improve forecast accuracy and capacity planning.
  • Optimize inventory levels while maintaining exceptional customer service.

As our Director of Supply Chain, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring our global supply chain is resilient, efficient, and scalable while supporting continued growth across multiple manufacturing facilities.



This is an opportunity to join an innovative, fast-paced medical device contract manufacturer where collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus drive everything we do.



As Director of Supply Chain, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all supply chain functions, including:




  • Supply Chain Planning

  • Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

  • Inventory Management

  • Production Planning

  • Logistics & Distribution

  • Supplier Performance & Development



You’ll partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales to ensure materials and products flow efficiently while meeting customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and execute the company's overall supply chain strategy aligned with business growth objectives.

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across planning, purchasing, and logistics.

  • Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to improve forecast accuracy and capacity planning.

  • Optimize inventory levels while maintaining exceptional customer service.

  • Establish strategic supplier partnerships and negotiate favorable commercial agreements.

  • Improve supplier quality, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.

  • Lead initiatives focused on operational excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor key supply chain metrics and implement actions to improve performance.

  • Partner with Operations to support new product introductions, production ramp-ups, and capacity expansion.

  • Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, customer, and internal quality requirements.

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while developing business continuity strategies.

  • Collaborate with Finance on inventory controls, working capital, and cost reduction initiatives.



Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.

  • 8+ years of progressive supply chain, or related field, leadership experience.

  • 5+ years leading managers and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, or similar), preferred

  • Strong knowledge of procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier management.

  • Demonstrated success implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (EPICOR)

  • Strong analytical, financial, and business acumen.
