Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Data Scientist, Operations Research Analyst to join the Decision Science Solutions (DS2) team. You will apply data science and optimization methods to improve the pharmaceutical supply chain and service to pharmacies.

You will forecast demand, build optimization and simulation models, and communicate insights across cross-functional teams. A quantitative degree plus SQL/Python/R/Tableau/SAS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in data science or operations research preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• MS/MBA with focus in Data Science, OR, IE, or Statistics preferred.
• Experience with SQL and data analysis tools (Python/R/Tableau/SAS) preferred.
• Familiarity with optimization and simulation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Listen to clients and clearly define business problems.
• Perform exploratory analysis to identify root causes.
• Develop predictive models to forecast future volumes.
• Create segmentation models to optimize supply chain.
• Build optimization and simulation models to guide capacity decisions.
• Develop prescriptive models using third-party tools and custom builds.
• Summarize financial and operational impacts of recommendations.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to model data for analyses.
