Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Data Scientist, Operations Research Analyst to join our Decision Science Solutions (DS2) team. You will apply quantitative methods to improve the pharmaceutical supply chain for better patient service.

You will forecast demand, build optimization and simulation models, and communicate actionable insights. Collaboration with data engineers and cross-functional teams is essential, with up to 5% travel required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent
• MS/MBA focus in Data Science, OR, Industrial Engineering or Statistics preferred
• Demonstrated ability to apply data science and OR techniques to logistics/supply chain problems
• Experience with SQL and databases preferred
• Experience with R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, SAS preferred
• Experience with Network Design, Simulation (AnyLogic), or Mathematical Programming (CPLEX) software preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to travel up to 5%

Responsibilities

• Forecast future demand and build optimization and simulation models
• Develop segmentation models for customers and products
• Design supply chain to support differentiated services
• Build prescriptive models using 3rd party optimization/simulation software
• Communicate actionable insights and summarize financial/operational impact
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to create data models for analyses
