Supply Chain Clerk
  • Location: On-Site | Ashworth Awards | North Attleboro, MA
  • Schedule:
    • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • 5 days, 8 hours / day, 30 minute lunch
  • Reports To: Business Operations Supervisor
About the Role:
  • We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Supply Chain Clerk to support the purchasing, inventory, logistics, and shipment coordination that keeps our business moving.
  • This is a great opportunity for someone with prior purchasing, logistics, inventory, or supply chain experience who enjoys being the person who keeps the details moving > and knows how to follow through when something doesn’t go according to plan.
  • In this role, you’ll work across departments and with vendors, carriers, and suppliers to make sure materials and products are ordered accurately, tracked closely, and delivered when they’re needed. You’ll have a hands‑on role in quoting items, executing & managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory, tracking shipments, resolving discrepancies, and keeping information accurate in our systems.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Purchasing & Vendor Management
    • Create and maintain purchase orders for materials, supplies, and other company needs.
    • Communicate with domestic and international vendors regarding pricing, availability, specifications, production status, and delivery timelines.
    • Research and compare vendors based on quality, pricing, reliability, availability, and lead times.
    • Request and assist with domestic and international quotes.
    • Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up to keep orders on schedule.
    • Help resolve vendor and purchasing issues, including pricing, quantity, quality, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Logistics & Shipping
    • Coordinate and track incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain accurate shipping schedules.
    • Track domestic and international shipments through UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight providers, and other carriers.
    • Monitor import shipments arriving by air or ocean and maintain appropriate documentation.
    • Communicate shipment status, delays, and delivery information to internal departments and customers as needed.
    • Verify purchasing and shipping invoices for accuracy and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Inventory & Materials
    • Monitor inventory levels and help ensure materials are available when needed.
    • Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records and investigate discrepancies.
    • Inspect incoming materials and products for quantity, accuracy, and visible damage.
    • Coordinate resolutions for incorrect, damaged, or missing materials.
    • Work with Production, Shipping, and Receiving to coordinate material needs.
    • Inventory & Materials
  • Administration & Cross-Department Coordination
    • Maintain organized records related to purchasing, inventory, quoting, shipments, and vendors.
    • Assist with import/export documentation and tracking duties, tariffs, freight, and related costs.
    • Work with Finance/Bookkeeping to reconcile purchasing invoices and shipping costs.
    • Enter and maintain accurate information in NetSuite/Oracle and other company systems.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Production, Shipping, Receiving, Finance, and other departments to keep orders and materials moving.
    • Provide general administrative support to the Business Operations team.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, order management, or a related field.
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred. Additional experience may be considered in place of formal education.
  • Experience working with purchase orders, vendors, inventory, shipping, or receiving.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or another ERP/inventory management system preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple orders, vendors, shipments, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
