Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking a Clerk in Distribution to support supply chain operations, including receiving, stocking, storeroom and delivery duties.

The role is full-time with a day shift, offering an hourly pay range of $19.50–$20.50 in New Jersey. A high school diploma and good communication skills are required; NJ driver’s license, computer knowledge, and hospital experience are preferred.

• Manages inventory and inbound/outbound deliveries per policy.
• Demonstrates problem-solving to meet customer needs.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

A Typical Day

The Supply Chain Clerk is responsible for performing supply chain activities, including but not limited to distribution, warehouse, storeroom and receiving functions within the facility at the direction of Supply Chain leadership.

• Performs receiving functions, PAR stocking and replenishment and storeroom activities using hospital technology
• Assists SC management in facilitating and expediting the flow of materials to and from departments within the medical center maintaining chain of custody for all products
• Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, training and initiatives,
• Reports any safety concerns to management
• Keeps work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards and obstructions
• Manages inventory according to policy & procedure
• Manages all inbound and outbound deliveries in compliance with policy & procedure
• Manages perpetual inventory as outlined in policy & procedure
• Exercises problem solving skills to meet customer needs
• Risk of injury from equipment used in moving product
• Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 lbs
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Schedule Requirements

• Full-Time, Day Shift -7A-3P. Weekends and Holiday rotation may be required.

Preferred

• Valid NJ Drivers License preferred
• Computer knowledge preferred
• Hospital experience preferred
