RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Supply Chain Facility Manager to lead the Distribution department at RWJ Rahway. This salaried, day-shift role supervises receiving, distribution, linen, warehouse and storeroom operations on site.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure supply needs are met in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Primary contact for vendors regarding vendor performance, concern resolutions and standardization.
• Ensures supervision is always on site to support the team.
• Identifies cost savings opportunities and presents them to the site supply chain director and clinical resource director for consideration.
• Conducts daily and monthly rounding and audits for survey readiness relevant to RWJBH, DOH and TJC standards.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

A Typical Day

• Collaborates with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure supply needs are met in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
• Primary contact for vendors regarding vendor performance, concern resolutions and standardization
• Ensures supervision is always on site to support the team
• Attire should be business appropriate
• Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, training, and initiatives
• Manages facility supply chain staff and operations in receiving, distribution, linen, warehouse, storeroom, and other areas as assigned
• Collaborates with the site supply chain director to ensure all performance metrics are met or exceeded
• Identifies cost savings opportunities and presents them to the site supply chain director and clinical resource director for consideration
• Conducts documented daily and monthly rounding and audits for survey readiness relevant to RWJBH, DOH and TJC standards
• Ensures that all actionable findings are addressed timely
• Acts as a subject matter expert SME for special projects, including training support in the various systems
• Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage walls, ceiling tiles, etc.
