Job summary

The University of Iowa Health Care Supply Chain Department seeks a Supply Chain Associate to manage hospital and clinic supplies, acting as a liaison across departments. You will use Excel, SPM and Tableau to locate items and respond quickly to urgent requests, while moving within the hospital to manage inventory and lift up to 25 pounds.

The role is full-time, on-campus in Iowa City, with a comprehensive benefits program. A BA/related field is required or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business admin or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using SPM and Tableau is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplies in operating rooms and clinics across the hospital.
• Serve as liaison for clinics and operating rooms within the hospital and ISC.
• Utilize Excel, SPM and Tableau to locate supplies and instruments.
• Promptly communicate with hospital staff regarding emergencies and requests.
• Move about the facility and handle inventory including shelving and carts.

Job description

The University of Iowa Health Care Supply Chain Department is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to manage supplies in the operating rooms and clinic areas. Duties to include:

• Serve as a Supply Chain Department liaison for clinics and operating rooms throughout the hospital and ISC.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, SPM, and Tableau to locate supplies and instruments.
• Prompt communication with hospital staff regarding emergencies and requests.
• Ability to move on foot throughout hospital, move up to 25 pounds, and transport heavy case carts.
• Ability to position self to handle inventory on high or low shelving.
• Other duties as assigned.

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule: 7:00a.m. to 3:30p.m. Monday-Friday

Pay Grade: 2B $41,264
