Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Findlay, OH is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate to help manage branch inventory, administer procurement, sourcing, and quoting to support customer needs.

The role is based at 7478 Rettig Rd, Findlay, OH 45840 and offers 15–28 hours per week. After onboarding, a flexible schedule may be available; occasional deliveries with company vehicle; you will contribute to branch success and customer service excellence, working in a team oriented Fastenal environment that values

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a current full valid driver's license with ability to meet driving record requirements for company vehicle use.
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have customer service or industry related work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages typically 25lbs-50lbs up to 75lbs.
• Pass the drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam).
• Pass a background check.

OVERVIEW: Embark on a dynamic journey as a Part‑time Supply Chain Associate, where every day offers a new
opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of supply chain excellence. In addition to managing inventory, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting business-to-business operations by administering procurement, sourcing, and quoting functions that seamlessly meet the needs of our customers and drive the success of their business. This position is for our branch located at 7478 Rettig Rd, Findlay, OH 45840. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work
• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field of study OR have customer service or industry related work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills

• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
