Job summary

Zimmer Biomet, a global medical technology leader, is seeking a seasoned supply chain leader to oversee forecasting, planning and purchasing, and to optimize product distribution. This role directs functions to balance inventory, manufacturing utilization, and customer service while driving cost efficiency and supplier performance.

You will build budgets, develop staff, and collaborate across functions to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business with 7–10 years in purchasing, planning, forecasting, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and manufacturing.
• At least three years of managerial experience.
• CPM, CPIM or CSCP preferred.

• Forecast and planning to maximize service levels and productivity.
• Minimize inventory to meet budgeted goals.
• Improve material flow from supplier to end customer for efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate customer orders and intra-company distribution.

What You Can Expect

This position is responsible for the forecasting, planning and purchasing functions along with distribution of products to the field. It requires directing and coordinating these functions to optimize division goals for inventory, manufacturing utilization, customer service, and standard cost.

How You'll Create Impact

• Ensure forecast and planning schedule maximize customer service levels and manufacturing productivity.
• Minimize/ reduce inventory (DOH) to meet budgeted goals.
• Continually imrpove material flow from supplier, through facility, to end customer for maximum efficiency.
• Ensure that quality materials are purchased on a timely basis, in appropriate quantities and at fair prices.
• Foster cooperation and effective communications between the supply chain group and the balance of the organization.
• Ensure that customer orders are shipped in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Ensure that intra company material distribution occurs in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Ensure that all departmental procedure are consistent with G.M.P's, Z.P.O's and Corporate Policies.
• Identify and address opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets for Planning, Purchasing.
• Responsible for identifying, evaluating and developing Supply Chain Management staff and establishing a Succession Plan.

Your Background

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in business with 7-10 years experience in the following related areas: purchasing, planning, forecasting, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of managerial experience is also essential.
• CPM, CPIM or CSCP preferred.

• Up to 10%

Expected Compensation Range

$130,000 - $165,000
