Job summary

3M is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to optimize inventory management and service levels. The role focuses on scheduling, planning, data analysis, and supplier collaboration to meet inventory investment targets in a fast-paced environment. Experience with SAP and Lean Six Sigma is highly valued.

Work location is Indianapolis, IN, with potential domestic travel. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in manufacturing or supply chain planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business Administration (completed and verified prior to start)
• Or Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Manufacturing, Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Service, and/or SAP in a private, public, government or military environment

Responsibilities

• Scheduling, inventory management, order planning and processing, SKU data management, backorder prevention, and maintaining supplier communication
• Analyzing and managing working and non-working inventories to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets
• Publishing and presenting service and inventory metrics, results, and gap analysis
• Monitoring and reporting capacity requirements
• Analyzing material flow parameters such as lot size, cycle frequency, replenishment interval, min/max, safety stock, and managing all supply chain SKU data
• Leading continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
