Job summary

Aston Carter is hiring a Supply Chain Analyst in Holland, MI on a contract-to-hire basis. The role manages supplier portfolios, inventory across plants, and PO processes to ensure timely material flow supporting production.

The position emphasizes root-cause analysis, process improvement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize logistics costs and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Direct manufacturing experience in a buying or Supply Chain Analyst role (3+ years).
• Strong Excel skills with XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Hands-on ERP experience, including SAP and SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of Material Master data in ERP systems.
• Experience running 5Y or 8D investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Proven ability to manage shortages and lead recovery with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage 15–20 suppliers and oversee inventory for multiple plants.
• Monitor POs to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
• Review open order reports each Monday to track PO status.
• Communicate with suppliers via email/phone for updates and issues.
• Lead root cause investigations for shortages and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives while leading tactical supply chain projects.
• Represent supply chain on cross-functional teams and liaise with other departments.
• Propose and support multi-site tools and process improvements.
• Document and analyze end-to-end supply chain processes.
