Job summary

Asphalt Materials, Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst Intern to gain hands-on experience across purchasing, logistics, compliance, and vendor coordination in an industrial setting.

You will support proposals, bids, and purchase requests while improving visibility of trucking and rail activities. The role emphasizes analytical work, cross-functional exposure, and building foundational supply chain knowledge.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• Experience in supply chain, business analytics, logistics, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the development of proposals, bids, and purchase requests, contributing to accurate and timely documentation across supply chain operations.
• Supports and maintains tracking and communication processes for trucking, rail, and purchasing activities, improving visibility and coordination across logistics channels.
• Contributes to the implementation of purchasing strategies for chemicals, raw materials, and trucking by applying analytical tools to evaluate cost, supplier options, and market conditions.
• Gains cross-functional exposure to multiple AMI lines of business, building foundational knowledge of supply chain operations, vendor relationships, and procurement workflows.
• Drives compliance project completion by utilizing Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions, to organize, analyze, and present data accurately and timely.
• Builds and maintains positive, professional relationships with internal team members, vendors, and cross-functional partners to support a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
