Bpiteam in Memphis, TN seeks a Supply Chain Analyst to support inventory reporting, data analysis, and process improvements for a multi-location distribution operation. You will compile and analyze sales, costs, demand, inventory levels, and other variables to drive actionable recommendations that improve service levels and turns.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3–5 years of related experience in supply chain, purchasing, replenishment planning, inventory management, logistics, data analysis, or similar analytical role.
  • Experience in large, multi-location distribution networks is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to compile, validate, analyze, and interpret large data sets and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Excel and MS Office; experience creating reports, dashboards, and tools to improve processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems; AS400 and Infor experience a plus.
  • APICS CPIM, ISM CPSM, or similar certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Compile, maintain, and analyze data related to inventory levels, sales, costs, demand, lead times, vendor performance, and product flow.
  • Create and distribute recurring/ad-hoc inventory reports, dashboards, and analysis tools across locations.
  • Track and report metrics like turns, on-hand stock, aged inventory, stockouts, and service levels to reduce costs.
  • Analyze inventory placement and movement to recommend transfers, stocking changes, and replenishment actions.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Product, Accounting, Logistics, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to support inventory goals.
  • Support product managers with reporting and analytics for new product introductions, promotions, and SKU rationalization.
  • Evaluate stock items for stock vs non-stock changes and disposition of excess inventory.
  • Monitor shelf-life and exception inventory to prevent expiration and improve consolidation.
  • Coordinate with buyers to optimize replenishment timing and customer service.
  • Assist Logistics in evaluating transportation options and inventory positioning.

SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Analyst will support the Purchasing Department and Company overall through inventory reporting, data analysis, and process improvement for a multi-location distribution operation. This role is responsible for compiling, validating, and analyzing sales, costs, demand, inventory levels, and other supply chain variables to provide clear, actionable recommendations regarding inventory placement, replenishment, product flow, and inventory life cycle management. The successful candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and able to translate complex data into practical insights that improve service levels, reduce excess and aged inventory, increase turns, and support company goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Compile, maintain, and analyze internal and external data related to inventory levels, sales, costs, demand, lead times, vendor performance, and product flow to support sound business recommendations
  • Create, enhance, and distribute recurring and ad-hoc inventory reports, dashboards, and analysis tools to identify excess, aged, slow-moving, obsolete, discontinued, and at-risk inventory across all locations
  • Track, analyze, and report key functional metrics including turns, on-hand inventory, aged inventory, stockouts, backorders, service levels, inventory accuracy, and replenishment exceptions to reduce costs and improve effectiveness
  • Analyze inventory placement and product movement within the distribution network and provide recommendations for transfers, stocking changes, replenishment adjustments, and disposition actions to improve product availability and inventory utilization
  • Partner with Purchasing Associates, Product Managers, Accounting, Logistics, Marketing, Sales, Operations, hubs, and branches to understand processes, constraints, and business needs and to support inventory and supply chain project goals
  • Support Product Managers with reporting, analytics, and process needs related to new product introductions, promotions, stocking decisions, SKU rationalization, and inventory life cycle management
  • Work with buyers and product managers to analyze stock items that should be changed to non-stock, non-stock items that should be changed to stock, and related excess inventory requiring transfer, return, write-off, or other disposition
  • Monitor shelf-life, serialized, customer guaranteed, and other exception inventory across locations and recommend actions to prevent expiration, improve lot consolidation, and reduce unnecessary replenishment
  • Coordinate with buyers to match backorders to open purchase orders, review incoming and outgoing product flow, and identify opportunities to improve replenishment timing and customer service
  • Assist Logistics in evaluating transportation options from vendors and within the company network by analyzing cost, service impact, timing, and inventory positioning
  • Identify and recommend process improvements, reporting enhancements, data governance standards, and system solutions that improve inventory visibility, accuracy, efficiency, and decision making
  • Provide support for item master data governance and maintenance to improve consistency, accuracy, and reporting reliability; assist Accounting with out-of-balance issues related to item setup
  • Execute responsibilities in a fashion consistent with the highest ethical standards and ensure the best interest of the company is put first in relationships and transactions with vendors and internal partners
  • Establish and maintain courteous, communicative, and professional relationships with internal customers, employees, vendors, and cross-functional partners
  • Perform other duties, analysis, reporting, and projects assigned
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
  • Minimum 3–5 years of related experience in supply chain, purchasing, replenishment planning, inventory management, logistics, data analysis, or a similar analytical role
  • Experience working in a large, multi-location or multi-tiered distribution network preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to compile, validate, analyze, and interpret large data sets and convert findings into practical recommendations
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience creating reports, dashboards, tools, and solutions to improve processes and decision making
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, inventory management software, supplier portals, and reporting tools. AS400 and Infor experience a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply and demand planning fundamentals, replenishment, forecasting, S&OP processes, inventory life cycle management, and root cause analysis
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and provide timely data-driven analysis in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex analysis clearly and build alignment with cross-functional stakeholders
  • APICS CPIM, ISM CPSM, or other relevant professional certification preferred
