BB&E Inc. is seeking a Supply and Logistics Support Specialist for the Pavement Evaluation Team to provide on-site technical support to AFCEC/COAP at Tyndall AFB, FL. The role focuses on managing vehicles, equipment, and supplies, coordinating transportation, and supporting report production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics or Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in logistics support for site work, evaluations, or construction.
  • Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Airfield Pavement Evaluation (APE) Teams vehicles and equipment, and office supplies for multiple teams.
  • Schedule and transport vehicles/equipment, assist in shipping certification and ground/air shipments, track inventory.
  • Provide hazardous material and waste management support for the APE Team and facilities.
  • Maintain file management system for Airfield Pavement Evaluation Reports and upload reports to network drives/website.
  • Coordinate with Web manager to resolve access issues and support customers with report access.
  • Assist with development of visual media for reports, including charts, graphs, maps, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Provide logistics support for up to 30-50 equipment items annually and coordinate 15-20 site visits, including airlift arrangements.

BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors.

Position Summary

BB&E is currently looking for a Supply and Logistics Support Specialist for our Pavement Evaluation Team to provide technical support to AFCEC/COAP on the Airfield Pavement Evaluation Team onsite at Tyndall AFB, FL.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage Airfield Pavement Evaluation (APE) Teams vehicles, pavement evaluation equipment and supplies, laboratory equipment and supplies, and office supplies for multiple APE teams and their world-wide mission
  • Scheduling and transporting vehicles and equipment for maintenance and calibration, assisting in development and coordination of vehicle and equipment shipping certification, coordination of ground and air shipment of vehicles and equipment, and tracking supply levels by maintaining inventory and ordering supplies
  • Support hazardous material and waste management support for the APE Team and facilities
  • Provide management support for the APE teams to maintain the file management system for all Airfield Pavement Evaluation Reports (comprehensive, structural, PCI, SKID, and anchor reports)
  • Posting reports to the network drive and to the pavement evaluation team website for access by external customers and tracking report status
  • Coordinating with the Web manager to resolve access issues and to provide support to APE teams' customers with access to report information, not available on the report website
  • Assist with development and production of visual media products in support of reports and evaluation training, to include charts, graphs, maps of evaluation results, and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
  • Provide logistic support and maintenance coordination for up to 30-50 equipment items annually; supporting logistics for 15-20 pavement evaluation site visits which can include shipment of small items or assisting with airlift arrangements to contingency and overseas locations
Requirements
Key Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship, authorization to work in the United States, and the ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET CLEARANCE is required
Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience assisting with logistical support for resolution of pavement issues or problems
  • Experience providing administrative, supply and logistical support for the pavement team's criteria development and review of engineering documents
  • Experience supporting project reviews and site work for repairs or new construction
  • Experience with MS Office computer software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing correspondence, written reports, and briefing management personnel on technical topics
  • Software: Proficiency using AutoCAD 2022 and Revit 2021, and MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience & Education
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of supply and logistical support for site work, evaluations or construction OR pavement evaluation, design or construction.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following to include Logistics and Supply Management, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering, Construction Project Management, Construction Technology, or Engineering Technology in Transportation from an accredited engineering college.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
  • Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
  • Ability to understand the speech of another person, speak clearly so listeners can understand, and talk or hear both in person and by telephone
