Job summary

York (PA) Donation Center in York, PA is seeking a warehouse/donation processing team member. You will assist with receiving, sorting, inventorying, and storing donated items, while inspecting for damage and discrepancies. You will coordinate with internal teams to ensure delivery of supplies and maintain accurate inventory.

Occasional backup truck driving and strict confidentiality are required. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift and pallet jack experience, a valid DOT

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience using a forklift and pallet jack.
• Experience driving a box truck and ability to obtain DOT Card.
• Strong interpersonal relations and good written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, data entry, and database management.

Essential Duties:

• Assist with receiving, sorting, categorizing, inventorying, and storage of donated items
• Inspect donations for apparent damage, expirations dates, and handle any discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and food are delivered
• Maintain, count, and distribute/deliver inventory on a regular basis and ensure sufficient supplies are available for operations
• Attends and actively participates in staff meetings

Other Duties:

• Any other duties required by supervisor
• Serve as back up Truck Driver
• Maintains confidentiality of all data, including guests, employee, and operational data

Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Experience using a forklift and pallet jack
• Experience driving a box truck and ability to obtain DOT Card
• Must have excellent and demonstrated interpersonal relations and both written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, computer input, and database management

• Ability to walk, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push, and pull items weighing 100 pounds or less; manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
• Excellent reading and writing skills; typing/computer usage; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures;
• Possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
