Job summary

HCB Yachts in Tennessee is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer Tech to ensure superior quality in materials, fabrication, and gelcoat. You will review specifications, inspect incoming supplies, and conduct tests to identify defects.

You will track fiberglass parts with AIMs until repairs are validated and provide guidance to improve process efficiency, with strong communication and liaison skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of manufacturing and engineering.
• Good working knowledge of quality control standards and government compliance.
• Ability to provide guidance to improve process efficiency.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills.
• Intermediately proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing our manufacturing specifications to identify materials needed for production.
• Reviewing incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality.
• Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues.
• Inspect gel coat for appearance defects (experience preferred)
• Tracking progress of all fiberglass parts with AIMs until repairs are validated.
