Job Overview

This position is part of the xEV Drive Unit team for Electric Vehicle products, responsible for providing Supplier Quality support to manufacturing teams for New Product Introduction and Mass Production. It involves direct contact with multiple departments and supporting customer requests related to supplied parts. The main goal is to ensure raw materials and components meet all regulatory, customer, and design requirements, manage supplier change points, support suppliers, and lead Corrective Actions for supplier-related complaints.

Key Responsibilities

1. Verify that supplier manufacturing processes produce products according to specifications through audits, measurements, trials, and reports.
2. Manage Change Points to gain customer approval for initial production parts.
3. Provide daily customer service and plant support activities.
4. Lead internal teams in root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier complaints, including report generation and presentations.
5. Lead incoming parts inspection activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4-year College Degree in Electrical Engineering with 4 years of related manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of Quality Systems (PPAP/IPPAAR, CAPA).
• Understanding of GD&T, print interpretation, electrical and mechanical schematics, and component specifications.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 35%).

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive industry experience, especially with electro/mechanical devices.
• Management experience in supplier quality.
• Knowledge of EV components like inverters and motors.
• Language skills in Japanese.
• Familiarity with IATF16949, PPAP, CAPA, NPI, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, SAP, IPC-A-610.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.

• Ability to work flexible shifts, handle detailed tasks, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Support for manufacturing start-up activities and development of quality controls.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely and in a factory environment.

Work Environment & Travel

• 10-25% travel domestically and internationally.
• Open-office and factory settings with noise.
• Use of measurement and testing equipment.

Additional Information

This role does not involve supervisory responsibilities. The position is full-time at a mid-senior level, with opportunities to contribute to the development and support of EV manufacturing processes.
