Job summary

Emerson in Houston offers a full-time role focused on quality engineering within our internship program. You will ensure material quality by managing incoming inspections and guiding sites globally, while collaborating with design engineers and suppliers to meet specifications.

You will develop quality documentation, support production part approval processes, and build strong relationships across suppliers, operations, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Zero years of related experience required.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Ensure material quality by managing incoming inspections and providing expert guidance to both local and global manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate with design engineers and suppliers to ensure technical specifications are clearly communicated and consistently met.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, material verification methods, and quality control procedures.
• Drive process improvements by supporting enhancements to the material review and production part approval processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, commodity teams, operations, and engineering teams to foster alignment and continuous improvement.
