Job summary

Emerson is seeking an engineering intern in Texas who will apply technical expertise in product manufacturing and support continuous process improvements. You will select and design tools, fixtures, and equipment while developing manufacturing processes to reduce problems and costs.

You will contribute to design reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, and help administer technical procedures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering.
• Zero years of related experience.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise in the production of products.
• Select, design or recommend tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Develop manufacturing processes and procedures to reduce problems and costs.
• Recommend design changes to increase quality or reduce problems and costs.
• Solve production problems and improve process capabilities.
• Participate in the presentation of test results and design reviews.
• Interact with other functional groups, vendors, or customers.
• Participate in the administration of technical procedures.
• Initiate and implement routine engineering change authorizations.
• Support capacity model and lean initiatives. May participate in lean six sigma improvement teams.
• May interact with teammates in numerous global locations.
