Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks a Product Quality professional to oversee supplier audits and surveillances. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop upfront quality plans that mitigate risks to quality, schedule, and cost for new products.

The role involves issuing SCARs, supporting QPE and CAPA audits, and serving as the primary QPI contact for special projects. Travel up to one week per quarter may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree with 4+ years; Doctorate with 1+ year; or Senior Reactor roles at the Company.
• Experience in supplier audits and corrective actions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform supplier audits or surveillances (system or product focused).
• Partner with technical communities to establish upfront quality plans to mitigate risks to quality, schedule and cost to new products.
• Resolve supplier quality deficiencies including issuing SCARs.
• Support and be the Primary QPI point-of-contact for various special projects.
• Support Principal Supplier quality program evaluations (QPE) and CAPA audits.
• Occasionally create Product Inspection Plans (NDT or dimensional).
• Track and trend supplier deficiencies.
