Henpen Consultants is seeking a hands-on Supplier Quality Manager for a confidential aerospace manufacturer in Olney, TX. This on-site, full-time role combines program development, supplier audits, corrective actions, and cross-functional collaboration to improve supplier performance and reduce quality costs.

You will lead policy formation, metric development, and supplier qualification activities, while traveling up to 50% and supporting relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
• 7+ years of supplier quality experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and supplier management practices.
• Experience with supplier audits, corrective actions, and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Establish supplier quality policies, procedures, and performance systems.
• Develop supplier scorecards, quality metrics, and accountability programs.
• Lead supplier audits, qualification activities, and risk assessments.
• Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and verify effective resolution.
• Help suppliers improve manufacturing quality and address recurring problems.
• Establish processes to recover supplier-related quality costs.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to improve supplier performance.
• Analyze quality trends and reduce incoming defects and supplier parts-per‑million (PPM) rates.
• Prioritize improvement efforts for high‑risk and underperforming suppliers.

Henpen Consultants is recruiting a Supplier Quality Manager for a confidential, growing aerospace manufacturer. Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, this leader will build and manage the supplier quality program, strengthen supplier performance, and reduce supplier-related quality costs.

This hands-on opportunity combines program development, supplier audits, corrective action, and collaboration with suppliers ranging from small businesses to major aerospace manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish supplier quality policies, procedures, and performance systems.
• Develop supplier scorecards, quality metrics, and accountability programs.
• Lead supplier audits, qualification activities, and risk assessments.
