Job summary

Amarr, part of ASSA ABLOY, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer in Lawrence, KS. You will partner with sourcing, engineering and manufacturing to enhance supplier quality and drive cost-performance improvements across new and existing products.

You will lead containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions while developing supplier improvement roadmaps and APQP/PPAP activities for launches. Strong cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Statistics, or related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, process capability, and risk analysis.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence across functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve supplier performance using key metrics (DPPM, CoPQ, audits, CAPA).
• Lead containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and verification of actions.
• Develop supplier quality improvement plans and drive supplier capability enhancements.
• Lead APQP/PPAP activities for new/revised components and manage related documentation.
• Identify VAVE opportunities; coordinate testing, validation, and implementation.
