Job summary

Amarr, a part of ASSA ABLOY, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Lawrence, Kansas supply chain team. You will partner with Strategic Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to improve supplier quality, cost competitiveness, and overall performance.

You will support new and existing products, develop supplier capabilities, lead structured problem-solving activities, and help identify VAVE opportunities to drive measurable business improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA and risk analysis.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve supplier performance using key metrics like DPPM and CoPQ.
• Lead containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions with suppliers.
• Develop supplier improvement roadmaps and support APQP/PPAP activities.
• Coordinate VAVE opportunities and supplier development across functions.
• Support new product introductions with supplier quality activities.
