Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure externally provided products and services meet engineering, contractual, and regulatory standards. You will drive supplier performance, support risk mitigation, and ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, IATF16949, and customer-specific requirements to maintain supply chain integrity.

The role involves supplier auditing, First Article development, corrective actions, and training inspectors on inspection

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Technical discipline required, with strong hands‑on quality experience.
• 10 years minimum hands‑on experience in supplier quality, in‑process quality, or related roles.
• GD&T, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 and IATF16949 experience and certifications preferred.
• PPAP/APQP, Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions knowledge is required.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and Six-Sigma training are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality performance including KPIs like defect rates and on‑time delivery.
• Perform supplier evaluations, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Review and approve supplier documentation (AS9102 FAI, Process Control Plans, inspections).
• Lead and coordinate supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and verify effectiveness.
• Support new supplier qualification, onboarding, and risk analysis.
• Travel up to 50% to suppliers, customers, and labs as needed.
