Job summary

ZF Group in Marysville, MI is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier-related quality activities for axle components. You will collaborate with the global supplier base to drive corrective actions, prevent deviations, and ensure adherence to APQP/PPAP and IATF 16949 standards.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, MS-Office proficiency, and a track record in supplier management. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship is required; on-site in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; other degrees considered with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve Supplier PPAPs for new components or changes with responsible SQE.
• Prescribe receiving inspection characteristics and frequencies and coordinate with QSE for release to Dimensional Lab.
• Ensure supplier compliance to ZF QD83 during serial production.
• Lead corrective actions with supplier including 8D closure and verification.
• Review supplier deviation requests for serial production components with production, quality and engineering.
• Enter Supplier Nonconformance Costs (SNCC) for divisional tracking.
• Submit vendor deductions to accounting for processing.
• Ensure MRB-held components are processed timely.
