Job summary

Google LLC in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Power Supplier Quality Engineer to drive power component quality, manage supplier audits, and lead site qualifications. You will collaborate with hardware designers, commodity managers, and data center teams to improve reliability and performance.

You will extract data from supplier facilities and Google lines to verify performance, implement corrective actions, and push continuous improvements across manufacturing and supply chains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in Power Electronics - Controllers, Converters (DC-DC), or Rectifiers (AC-DC), and HV Battery/Capacitor Back-up unit Engineering or Manufacturing processes.
• 5 years of experience in Quality, Reliability or Product Engineering.
• Experience with Power Electronics, Battery and PCB/PCBA manufacturing and assembly technologies.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as required.

Responsibilities

• Apply RCCA fundamentals and drive root cause analysis with teams to resolve issues.
• Define and execute data collection activities for high complexity issues.
• Drive process design, optimization, and qualification of a manufacturing process for a component or product.

As a Power Supplier Quality Engineer, you work in collaboration with Suppliers, Hardware Designers, Commodity Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Data Center teams. You set and manage Power component quality and reliability standards, drive supplier factory certification audits, and lead component and manufacturing site qualifications. You actively manage NPI and sustaining quality, continuous improvements, and ensure lessons learned are actioned back to suppliers and partner teams. You drive the true root cause failure analysis and systemic corrective actions with comprehensive preventative actions. You extract and analyze data from supplier facilities, Google production lines, and Google data centers to verify performance and drive improvements.
