Job summary

The Pivot Group Network seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer in Otsego, MI to develop and manage supplier quality improvements. You will audit suppliers, investigate issues, and collaborate with sourcing and engineering to qualify new parts.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in supplier quality within manufacturing, a strong working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100/IATF 16949 and core tools, and the ability to read GD&T drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
• 3–5 years in supplier quality or manufacturing quality.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949 and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Experience with supplier audits and 8D root-cause analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949) and core quality tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Proven experience conducting supplier audits and driving root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D methodology).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ certifications (e.g., CSQE, CQE, CQA)
• Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and process control
• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes relevant to the company's products (e.g., injection molding, machining, electronics assembly)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with various quality management system software or ERP systems
