Job summary

Foxconn Assembly LLC in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (EPD II) for an on-site, full-time role. You will develop and maintain supplier relationships, assess capability through audits, and lead supplier quality activities in new product development.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 6 months in quality engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and willingness to travel. Day/Swing shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• At least 6 months in quality engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of mechanical drawing; GD&T knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain trusting relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Assess supplier capability via site visits and process audits for compliance.
• Collaboratively qualify processes with Designers, Supplier Quality Team and Incoming Inspection.
• Lead supplier quality efforts in new product development and risk management.
• Review/approve change control documentation and specifications for suppliers.
• Manage NCR/MRB activities and first article reporting.
• Develop inspection instructions and techniques; perform SPC monitoring if required.
• Lead and coach IQC inspectors.
