Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead the development and enhancement of the Supplier Quality Management System (QMS) within the Material Technology department. The role focuses on ensuring conformance to QMS clauses, supplier quality, and site-wide process improvements across a global supplier network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience preferred.
• Semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with audit methodologies, gap analysis, and quality improvements such as Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic quality roadmaps to enhance product quality and the Supplier Quality Management System (QMS).
• Conduct end-to-end gap analyses and internal audits to identify weaknesses and drive improvements.
• Lead supplier audits using a risk-based approach and act as lead auditor for critical suppliers.
• Provide guidance on Supplier-QMS operations including New Supplier Qualification, Change Management, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and standardize best practices in quality engineering for Supplier QMS, both internally and at supplier sites.
• Participate in site-wide quality improvement tasks and align with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 standards.
• Prepare for and represent Material Technology in internal, customer, and third-party QMS audits; manage RCCA and OFIs.
