Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is partnering with Ludington manufacturers to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer who will drive supplier performance and quality improvements. You will develop and implement supplier quality processes, conduct audits, lead CAPA/SCAR activities, and work with sourcing and engineering on new product introductions.

Required: bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing quality, experience with supplier audits, and knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with supplier audits and corrective action processes (SCAR/CAPA).
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier quality management processes and procedures.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions for supplier-related quality issues using problem-solving methodologies.
• Collaborate with sourcing and engineering teams on new product introductions to assess supplier capabilities and manage risks.
• Monitor and report on key supplier quality performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Manage supplier non-conformances and disposition of discrepant material to minimize production impact.
• Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to improve their quality systems and processes.
