Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer II for a Contract job with a client in Maple Grove, MN. This role involves assessing new suppliers for technical and manufacturing capabilities and leading investigations into material defects to drive corrective actions.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Supplier Quality Engineer II job responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate New Suppliers: Assess potential suppliers for technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities, and support the introduction of new components.

  • Inspection Process Development: Create and maintain incoming inspection procedures and train inspectors accordingly.

  • Component Qualification: Generate test protocols, oversee testing, and approve components for use in products.

  • Defect Analysis and Corrective Action: Investigate incoming material defects, determine disposition, and drive corrective actions with suppliers.

  • Design and Specification Support: Provide input on component specifications and review new design specs for quality and manufacturability.

  • Field Failure Investigation: Analyze field failures related to supplier materials and develop corrective action plans as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a regulated industry.

  • Experience in process validation, design controls, risk management, CAPA, and SCAR.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional global teams.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $46.00 per hour
