Job summary

Actalent, based in Janesville, WI, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to monitor production assembly and drive continuous improvement. You will establish inspection plans aligned with customer criteria and ensure QMS compliance while collaborating with engineers, manufacturing teams, and government representatives.

Ideal candidates have extensive quality engineering knowledge, experience with DoD/military standards, and a strong background in audits, PPAP, and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Quality engineering expertise and knowledge of ISO 9001.
• Experience with corrective actions and audit control plans.
• Proficiency in GD&T and defense industry standards.
• Knowledge of supplier quality and government compliance.
• 1–3+ years in quality engineering.
• Experience dealing with US government and DoD entities.
• Shop floor/assembly inspection experience.
• Ability to manage internal audits and support quality inspectors.
• Proficiency with PPAP and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production assembly processes to improve efficiency.
• Participate in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement.
• Establish and monitor inspection plans based on customer criteria.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and QMS.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Manufacturing, and management and government reps.
• Provide engineering support for lot acceptance tests.
• Write and incorporate detailed work instructions.
• Plan and conduct quality audits and report findings.
