Job summary

Waabi is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier qualification, onboarding audits, and PPAP/APQP processes. You will partner with Engineering to optimize DFMs for high-yield production, own RCCA actions, and drive quality improvements across supplier assemblies and testing in a fast-growing autonomous tech environment.

You will manage advisory roles for EOL testers, PV testing, and SP clamping while traveling 25-50% to supplier sites to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to engineering.
• Deep understanding of APQP, PPAP, including FMEA, MSA, Gage R&R, and SPC.
• Advanced APQP/PPAP management across 5 phases and PPAP elements.
• Proven RCCA (8D, RCCA) experience preventing failures.
• Proficient with SolidWorks or similar CAD/CAE tools.
• Experience with GD&T and various manufacturing processes.
• Experience with FEA to evaluate DFMs and supplier changes.
• Experience with PLM tools and ECO management.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/IATF 16949/ISO26262.
• Travel 25-50% for audits, validations, ramp-ups.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification and onboarding audits against QMS standards.
• Own supplier life cycle from sourcing to SOP and service-life support.
• Collaborate with engineering during DFM for high-yield production.
• Lead APQP/PPAP and PPAP package delivery before SOP.
• Develop PPAP deliverables including PFMEAs, Process Flow, and Control Plans.
• Define SC/CC steps for manufacturing processes and supplier assembly.
