Job summary

LHH US in Bloomington, Indiana, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a direct-hire, permanent placement with a manufacturing client. You will own the supplier quality program, partner across engineering, procurement, and operations, and drive improvement that impacts product quality and supplier performance.

The role offers $110,000–$120,000 per year plus bonus, comprehensive benefits, generous PTO, and a 401(k) with company match. Authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of supplier quality engineering experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience leading supplier quality audits and supplier assessments.
• Experience with supplier qualification and supplier performance management.
• Experience with ISO-based quality management standards preferred.
• Ability to manage CAPAs, investigations, and root-cause analyses.
• Experience in highly regulated industries is a plus.

• Perform supplier qualification, onboarding, and approval activities.
• Conduct supplier audits and evaluate compliance with quality standards.

• Investigate supplier-related quality concerns and coordinate containment efforts.
• Review supplier change notifications and assess potential business impact.
• Develop supplier scorecards and monitor key performance metrics.
• Analyze supplier quality trends and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Partner with procurement on supplier selection and performance evaluations.
• Support incoming quality functions with technical problem-solving assistance.
• Participate in cross-functional quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare supplier quality reports for leadership and management reviews.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen supplier relationships.

In this role, you will own the supplier quality program, partner cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and operations teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact product quality, supplier performance, and operational success.

The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $110,000-120,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline is required
• Minimum of 5+ years of supplier quality engineering experience within a manufacturing facility is required
• Ideal candidates will have experience supporting quality systems within highly regulated industries.
• Must have experience leading supplier quality audits and supplier assessments
• Must have the ability to manage supplier corrective actions, investigations, and root cause analysis activities
• Ideal candidates will have experience with supplier qualification and supplier performance management.
• Ideal candidates will have experience conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation plans.
• Experience with ISO-based quality management standards is preferred.
