LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our client's organization in the Woodstock, IL area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support product and process quality across manufacturing, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
- Manage nonconforming material processes, including issuing and tracking non‑conformance reports (NCRs).
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and root cause analysis.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer quality issues, including returns, complaints, and follow‑up actions.
- Coordinate inspection, disposition, and documentation of incoming materials, in‑process items, and returned goods.
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations, logistics, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues impacting delivery or inventory.
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and metrics to support internal reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in quality meetings, audits, and improvement initiatives to strengthen overall quality systems.
- Support new product introductions by ensuring quality requirements are defined, documented, and communicated.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–5+ years of experience in a quality engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality role.
- Working knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001 or similar).
- Hands‑on experience with NCRs, CAPA, root cause analysis, and customer return management.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail in fast‑paced environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments including operations, supply chain, logistics, and engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for supplier, customer, and internal interactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) and quality documentation systems.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed to support customer or supplier quality activities.
