Job summary

Wipro Technologies-USA within the Wipro Engineering group seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive product quality and supplier compliance in the VLSI domain. You will lead QA activities, manage quality KPIs, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and suppliers to ensure robust processes.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong background in quality methods (FMEA, 8D, SCAR), and hands-on verification and documentation skills, focused on manufacturing excellence

Qualifications

  • BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering in Compute/Servers/Consumer Electronics or Hardware manufacturing.
  • Work with Contract Manufacturers and manage PDP build phases for quality.
  • Lead and participate in manufacturing quality audits and KPI management.
  • 5+ years of experience using advanced problem-solving methods (Ishikawa, FMEA, SCAR, 5 Why, 8D, Pareto, MIL) for root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of ANSI S20.20 ESD standards, ISO9001, and QMS processes across production.
  • Collaborate to develop and refine quality SOPs, PCNs, and work instructions for manufacturing excellence.
  • Represent Quality with operations, engineering teams, and suppliers for continuous improvement.
  • ASQ CQE and Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Basic project management to plan, execute, and deliver quality initiatives.
  • Proficient with Office tools and data analysis (JMP, R, Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication for reporting to teams and senior management.

  • Verify and validate quality processes from TS1 to MP to maintain quality throughout production.
  • Apply SCAR and 5 Why to address quality concerns.
  • Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations communicating quality performance and recommendations.
  • Develop verification environments aligned with UVM architecture and maintain test benches and automated tests.
  • Perform full regression testing, document results, and manage failures and debugging in SharePoint or JIRA.
  • Prepare status reports for stakeholders and maintain documentation repositories.
  • Manage timesheets and enable knowledge transfer with clear project histories and lessons learned.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the architecture of assigned modules or Intellectual Properties (IP) and construct verification environments aligned with the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
  • Author, review, and maintain test benches and automated test case code, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Execute and debug test cases, rigorously validating module functionalities against specifications.
  • Conduct functional coverage analysis, document test results, manage failure records, and track debugging procedures in platforms like SharePoint or JIRA.
  • Perform full regression testing on entire IP functionalities and prepare detailed documentation ready for client publication.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing verification systems, minimizing latency while maximizing accuracy and throughput.
  • Develop and maintain scripts supporting verification efforts, ensuring alignment with project plans and industry standards.
Reporting and Documentation Management
  • Prepare and deliver regular status reports (weekly, monthly) for stakeholders, reflecting current project health and progress.
