Job summary

Woodward is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier performance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners with procurement, engineering, and production to ensure quality and compliance across the supply base.

Qualified candidates typically have a bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years’ experience, ASQ preferred, SAP experience, and strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred.
• ASQ certification and SAP experience preferred.
• Quality assurance experience in supplier quality is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of supplier quality metrics to ensure adherence to established standards and contractual requirements.
• Root Cause Analysis: Identify and analyze complex quality issues, determining root causes and developing effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Continuous Improvement Leadership: Lead small-scale improvement projects focused on enhancing supplier processes and product quality through the implementation of best practices.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, engineering, and production teams to align supplier quality objectives with overall business goals.
• Quality Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive quality reports and documentation to track supplier performance and support informed decision-making.

Estimated annual base pay: $75,000(minimum) - $97,000(midpoint) - $120,000(maximum)

• Regulatory Compliance: Knowledgeable in industry regulations and standards to ensure supplier and product compliance.
• Leadership: Able to guide and mentor less experienced colleagues and lead small-scale projects with minimal oversight.

Successful Candidates Typically Have:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum 3-5 year’s relevant experience preferred
• ASQ certification preferred
• SAP experience preferred
