Job summary

Sterling Engineering in Muncie, Indiana seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure materials from suppliers meet engineering requirements. You will resolve supplier issues, improve performance, and partner with internal teams to strengthen supplier processes.

Responsibilities include reviewing PPAP submissions, leading root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why), conducting supplier audits, and tracking quality metrics to drive cost recovery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering.
• Strong understanding of production processes and quality systems.
• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Solid communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
