Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Knowledge of ISO Standards and Six Sigma tools
• Ability to perform statistical analyses and interpret data
• Able to read blueprints and drawings
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication and writing skills
• Ability to define problems and drive to root cause and corrective actions

Responsibilities

• Participate in supplier development activities and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers
• Develop, maintain and deploy quality plans translating customer requirements into actions
• Analyze program requirements and prepare quality plans, schedules and resource allocations
• Review engineering/test and contractor documents to ensure quality requirements are met
• Conduct internal audits and implement root-cause corrective actions
• Lead product quality improvement teams and participate in failure review boards
• Provide technical support to assembly/test/inspection personnel with sampling plans and inspection criteria
• Evaluate supplier selections and drive continuous improvement through on-site audits and supplier corrective actions
• Generate statistical reports on inspection results and testing, and recommend actions
• Establish programs to evaluate precision of production equipment and testing facilities

Job Summary

Join our Menomonee Falls, WI team as a Supplier Quality Engineer II. This role is responsible for the quality of purchased items used in product development as well as quality processes and quality system improvements.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work week and requires heavy travel (up to 40%).

What You Will Do

• Participate in supplier development activities and interact with suppliers to implement corrective actions, improve control plans, and eliminate defects
• Develop, maintain, and deploy quality plans and activities that translate customer requirements into planned activities
• Perform analyses of program requirements and prepares responsive quality plans, procedures, schedules and resource allocations to assure optimum quality support
• Review and approve engineering/test and contractor documentation and provide input to assure that appropriate quality requirements are addressed
• Provide ongoing quality system support to include performing internal audits, ensuring implementation of root cause corrective actions
• Lead product quality improvement teams, Material Review Boards and participate in Failure Review Boards
• Provide technical support for Assembly/Test/Inspection personnel to include executing workmanship improvement plans, developing inspection methods and criteria, specifying appropriate sampling plans, interpreting and revising specifications, and processing non-conforming materials
• Evaluate and make recommendations on critical supplier selections and drives supplier continuous improvement processes, including leading on-site audits, evaluating prototypes, and reviewing and approving of supplier corrective actions
• Develop and generate statistical reports on inspection activities and results, new product or process testing results, etc. and recommend action as required
• Establish programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production and processing equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical facilities
• Consider financial impacts of quality process controls and inspections

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of quality experience
• Experienced with ISO Standards, Six Sigma tools, statistics
• Ability to understand military specifications and to read blueprints
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication and writing skills
• Ability to define problems and drive to root cause and effective corrective actions
