Carter Machinery Co. Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer I to join our Power Systems/PSD Rental Operations team in the United States.

You will inspect generator packages, analyze nonconformances, and drive supplier corrective actions to improve quality and reliability. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, familiarity with quality methodologies, and willingness to travel up to 50% across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience in quality engineering.
• Certification in Six Sigma or ASQ is a plus.
• General knowledge of mechanical and electrical product designs.
• Data analysis experience.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% to North American job sites.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer I

Starting Compensation Range: $86,000 - $97,000 per year

What You Will Do:

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in quality engineering
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, preferred
• Certification in quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus
• General knowledge of mechanical and electrical product designs and concepts
• Data analysis experience
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent driving record
• Willingness to travel at least 50% to various jobsites within North America, as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
